A program I use to do exactly this is called Auslogics Disk Defrag.

You could always install a SSD drive and run the game from there, but being a laptop odds are good it can only hold one harddrive, and getting an SSD fox run it instead will require more knowledge and problems to be handled than I'll bother explaining, Such as reinstalling the Operationg system with CD's designed to do so from the manufacturer for your particular model of laptop, coupled with the fact that transfer of any files you'd like to save would be even more painful a task without a 3rd reloadedd to store and transfer them through.

If stutter lag is where it 'freezes' on a picture, but the sound is still going oag it suddenly jumps to the moving picture again, then yeah i have that.

This is coming from someone who bought the original PC release day-1 all those years ago, btw. Defragent, optimize the files on the drive. Also when has being new been an excuse to run THIS bad? If you have any tips or stuff ill be happy to hear them: If you join an empty server and have lwg issues running around, driving, jumping, spinning etc Then you can expect reloadsd harddrive to be the culprit.
